It is in China’s “interests” for Australia to strike a deal on trade tariffs for barley, according to Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes.
“It’s what China wants, I think, more than anything when we look at what they need for their own economy,” Ms Hughes told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“If anyone dare raise the question around the pandemic again and point the finger at Wuhan, I think that frostiness might re-settle very quickly.”
